My father is 75 years of age and never stops! A 2 hour morning walk spent
exercising 3 energetic border collies is just for starters. He is both press
and fixtures secretary for a local cricket club plus umpires at every
available opportunity. The phone rings constantly for him and he has a
better social life than most of the teenagers around this area!!!
Johnny from Lincoln - Customer Service Manager prior to retirement
Having just turned 60 and receiving a pension following redundancy. I have
decided after recovering from cancer to become a Driving Instructor, which
is nothing special except as I have always worked for plcs, I now hope to
control my own existence.
Jackie from Essex - Secretary prior to retirement
I collect
button badges and love attending exhibitions in my searches. Now retired, I
can enter many competitions for tickets for these exhibitions and have been
quite successful.
Am Secretary of local Historical Society. Am editor for
their newsletter so can now use the web at home to assist in articles.
Lisa from Northamptonshire
I use my time for volunteer work. That way it is really rewarding and i
help out whenever i want to .There's a club for disabled people near us and
they ask people to go there and just help them out with their various
disabilities so as they can have a good time and not have to worry about
anything. That way i can keep busy too and not get bored. I also do the
romanian ophanage shoebox appeal and i spent time during the year filling
showboxes with presents, even if it's just simple little things, so as they
have something to open at christmas, as it saddens me to know they have
nothing.
