www.ageconcern.org.ukAge Concern is an organisation that helps the over
50s and, as such, has a wide appeal to retired people. It has sections on,
amongst many others, housing, consumer issues, income and pensions, leisure
and travel and living abroad.

This a comprehensive one-stop advisory service for older people, their
families and carers covering housing, care, money and rights. It brings
together the skills of four expert organisations working in partnership for
the benefit of older people – Help the Aged, Elderly Accommodation Council,
Counsel and Care and NHFA Care Advice.
www.visitbritain.com This is the British Tourist Authority website and
has hundreds of ideas for days out, weekends away, short breaks and holidays
in the UK.
www.u3a.org.uk The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an organisation
run through local groups where you can join other local people doing classes
and courses on a whole range of topics and a wide variety of activities –
from Spanish to yoga and walking to lunching out.

The National Trust provides opportunities for wonderful days out, renting
holiday cottages, activity breaks and voluntary work.
